Kadena scam continues, but changes social platform. After covering at the prompting of a user her unfortunate affair of the “love” scam on Tinder, an alarming scenario unfolds in these early months of the year about an investment app that takes its cue from the Kadena cryptocurrency reported below.

The intended victims are once again women, and the affair takes on increasingly darker contours because of the shift from the popular Tinder, where people meet to get to know each other, to the Tandem app.

What is Tandem app?

Tandem is a language learning app that is based on the practice of conversation between users of different languages. The main goal of the app is to help users improve their language skills through direct communication with native speakers. The app offers a wide range of languages to choose from and connects users based on their preferences and learning goals.

How does the Tandem app work?

To use the Tandem app, you need to follow these steps:

  • Download the app: Tandem is available for both Android and iOS devices. You can download it from the Google Play Store or Apple’s App Store.
  • Create an account: Once you have installed the app, you will need to create an account, providing some personal information and selecting the languages you speak and those you wish to learn.
  • Complete your profile: To increase your chances of finding suitable language partners, it is important to complete your profile with a brief description of yourself, your interests, and your learning goals.
  • Search for language partners: The app will show you a list of users who speak the language you wish to learn and who are interested in learning your native language. You can view their profiles and send them a connection request.
  • Start communicating: Once you connect with a language partner, you can start communicating via text messages, voice calls, or video calls. The app also offers useful tools such as message correction and automatic translation to facilitate communication.

If the app can benefit you in a language exchange: why invest your money here by entrusting it to strangers?

The scammed women

Unlike the previous victim who downloaded the app from the Google / Huawei store, two women leaning on the iPhone iOS platform were affected. The way it was possible to scam them was to have them “land” via the web on the website created specifically for the scam. The women, were deprived of about 12 and 25 thousand euros respectively.

How the scam took place

The interesting aspect of the affair is that in one case, the unfortunate woman got in touch with the user “smile1281987” who had already been involved in the previous scam.

The narrative is always the same and precisely that a man contacts women speaking perfect Italian and claiming to be from London. After gaining their trust, he suggests that they invest in trading for higher earnings. In the case of another user, however, the user is a Marko Gray.

Luxury living, cars, designer watches and nabob cigars as the script of the perfect con man goes. All on the slopes of Big Ben and it was not difficult to discover that the character was used for another Ig profile so watch out for adam198022222 as well.

In one case, the victim was able to have proof of the reliability of the platform by making an investigative withdrawal of his earnings in the early days and succeeded.

Let this serve as a general warning to anyone who finds himself investing on unknown sites and on the first attempt succeeds in earning money.

Scam site analysis

One only has to enter the homepage and realize that the site appears to be unsafe and lacks a third-party certificate, which, although the rule is not always valid in its presence, is one of the first alarm bells. Within the home is a showcase composed of slides that associates Kadena with the well-known Binance platform, making the poor visitor believe that there is authority in the system in which they are going to invest. It is clear that Binance is unaware of the criminal association of its logo with that of a platform that usurps its brand with the purpose of scamming.

The website behind Cloudflare platform and was created on May 31, 2022, and since then, in Italy, as far as we know, it has tapped about 90,000 euros and it is suspected that the women who contacted our editorial staff with the appropriate reporting form are just a tip of the iceberg. On the other hand, the details of the domain owner are missing and it is not possible to trace who the owner of the site is, but even then it would be difficult to unearth the culprit because he could have registered it under a false identity. Instead, the provider of the hosting service is an American company.

Editors’ advice:

  • Don’t believe in easy gains online, especially in the trading industry
  • Don’t entrust your money to disreputable people
  • Always check the reliability of the Internet site: reputation on the net, security standards, longevity

If you have been a victim of any scam or Kadena: you can use the form
